How can I start working with you?

How should I prepare for my initial consult?
Think about the issues that are bringing you to therapy. Try to summarize these issues in 4-5 sentences. Once you've done that, put together a list of the questions you have for me so you'll be sure not to forget anything. I'll also have questions for you at this time.
What happens after the free consult?
If we both feel it's a good fit, we'll schedule our first session while we're on the phone together. Then you'll receive an email to your client portal, which will have the intake paperwork you need to complete. After you've returned that to me, I'll send you a link for our first telehealth session. You'll probably get that link 24 hours before we meet.
During our initial meeting, you'll have more time to tell me about what brings you to therapy. I'll also have questions for you, too.
Do you accept insurance?
No, however, I can prepare a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company, if you want to use your insurance on an out-of-network basis. A Superbill is a detailed receipt outlining all the services you've received. Your insurance company may or may not reimburse you, either fully or partially, for the time you spend in therapy. Therefore, it’s good to check with your insurer about your out-of-network benefits before beginning your work with me.
